Ishara

 It is one of the 16 sacred places in Sri Lanka located in the heart of Badulla town in the Uva province . The Muthiyangana stupa is 65 feet high and 270 feet in diameter .King Indika made this temple by treasuring  free teeth and hair teeth . Archeologists say that  there were seven bo- trees here in the past . This temple which is visited by many tourists is a valuable place in our district . 

The highest waterfall in Sri Lanka that flows through the Kalupahana mountain range is located the our district , that is,  in the Badulla district . The height of the waterfall is appromately 863 feet , making in the 299th tallest waterfall in the world . There are many ways to see this . The beautiful places around it are he best place for photography and mountaineering . The best month to visit is from march to may , That is because the water the level is low . This helps to enhance the beauty of our district . 

 The nine arch bridge is one of the attraction in the Badulla district .This is an example of colonial -era architecture .It is sarrounded by lush green hills and spectacular waterfalls . This is a very beautiful place as a tourist destination  .Nowadays this is  a very interesting creation that is popular among local and foreign people . This helps to enhance the beauty of our district .
