The highest waterfall in Sri Lanka that flows through the Kalupahana mountain range is located the our district , that is,  in the Badulla district . The height of the waterfall is appromately 863 feet , making in the 299th tallest waterfall in the world . There are many ways to see this . The beautiful places around it are he best place for photography and mountaineering . The best month to visit is from march to may , That is because the water the level is low . This helps to enhance the beauty of our district . 

 The nine arch bridge is one of the attraction in the Badulla district .This is an example of colonial -era architecture .It is sarrounded by lush green hills and spectacular waterfalls . This is a very beautiful place as a tourist destination  .Nowadays this is  a very interesting creation that is popular among local and foreign people . This helps to enhance the beauty of our district .

My favourite novel is teacher's song . It was created around a young communist with thee socialist attitude of the soviet group in mind . This story dhows an attempt by one sir to teach its children in an environment where there are ignorant people in the countryside . There is an art teacher named Duishen who is young . Through his hard work he sets up a stable and goes to school every morning to get the village children to join him . the eldest of the children was a girl names Althai . later she and young sir named Duishen fell in love . Duishen is young man with a noble character . eventually a school called Duishen was started .     I really like some of the verses in that novel , that is  "  winter is coming , cold winds with bad snow are blowing .... but spring is coming of course "

Flowers are very close my life  . I use  to grow flowers whenever I can in my spare time , So I have a lot of flowering plants  in my home garden . Among the flowers , My favourite flower is  Daasaman. It is very fragrant and very beautiful .    Not only me but my my  mother also loves flowers  , So she      plants flowers in the flower garden at home . Actually I      love a beautiful garden full of flowers . So I try my best to make my garden beautiful by planting flowers whenever possible.

  My pet's name is Ziiba 🐶.  He is very cute  .He like to sleep a lot . Most of the time he sleeps in a corner . He does not need to eat at that time . Ziiba 's favourite game is when I throw a stone ,The run and bring   the stone back to me . Yogurt is his favourite food .He does not like bath  .  He is very  drastic, That' s  why so many people are afraid of it . When someone comes to the house ,He barks loudly ,  Ziiba provides security to my house . So not only I but everyone in my house loves Ziiba a lot .😚

My village is Mahiyanganaya  with many beautiful places . mahiyngnya temple can be described  as the most beautiful paddy fields and mountain ranges .  It is known as the place where the supreme Buddha was first place of arrival . Also in the museum there are many  ancient   ruins    that  can be seen here  ruins of the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa eras can be seen here   .   Also   the magnificent creation called Sri maha bodhi seya  near the temple in our village belongs to a very   ancient period .    In addition ,among the beautiful places in my village are Sorabora lake , Mapaakada lake, Nagadeepa lake  , Nagadeepa temple etc... so my village  is very beautiful with lots of beautiful places .
